Basic work principle

Biological systems are characterized by regulated processes. For example, in order to maintain level 1 of blood pressure, it is periodically regulated via the sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous systems (period 1). Under stress load, the blood pressure reaches a new level 2. In order to maintain this level, the regulatory processes are faster (period 2). During the transition from level 1 to level 2, the system is instable. Between regulation periods 1 and 2, there exists a whole number ratio.

Activation is a temporarily stable state of a biological system. A regulatory state is represented by the frequency of regulatory periods within a certain time interval (e.g., 1 hour). During the activation, fast regulatory processes are more frequent (short periods).
